Asperger's  United

 In 2003 a group of parents and carers in the Nuneaton area who were struggling with the lack of integrated support services for this hidden disability formed Asperger’s United.

 

The group meet regularly and through our own very real and often difficult personal experiences we are able to offer support and understanding to our members. 

 

As a group we pride ourselves on:-

 

• Being Parent / Carer led

• Offering a non judgemental forum

• Being open to all parents and carers of young people with ASD and AS no matter what stage of diagnosis

• Knowing what your issues are and understanding the support and advice you may require

• Understanding how to liaise with local agencies to raise awareness of our children’s difficulties and needs

 

 

We can’t promise to have all the answers, but we listen to what you have to say and have more than likely gone through the same experiences that you are currently experiencing yourself, we as a group can offer support and advice on what we have tried, what worked, what didn’t, but mainly being there to listen and understand you.
